My Doug Hylan designed 13′ Beach Pea is the first wooden boat I have built from scratch. She is made from okoume ply, Douglas Fir, with utile mahogany thwarts and knees and Sitka spruce spars.
Joe Vines designed and built this small skiff that he calls SCOUT. She is propelled by a small trolling motor or a paddle. Joe launched her in June 2011, and paddles her on Orange Lake and Lake Lochloosa in Citra, Florida.

I started designing her in June of 2008. I had to put her up each fall to work on Christmas presents among other projects, but launched her this past weekend.

Members of Marietta Boatbuilding Workshop built this Newfoundland Trap Skiff. They plan to sell her as a fundraising project for the Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club of Marietta Ohio. She was built during the summers of 2001 and 2002 with white cedar planking over white oak frames.
PATIENCE is a cedar strip hybrid 12′ Wood Duck Kayak. She is glassed in and out, and weighs in at 45 lbs. This was my first atempt at strip building. It was labor intensive but highly rewarding.
